About One Islington Plaza
Meeting Deadlines and Completing Construction
Despite minor delays to the construction of the development due to changes in cladding regulations, the developers did their best to overcome these issues and meet the new expected deadlines. The development company spent millions of pounds ensuring the safety of One Islington Plaza after the Grenfell Disaster as new regulations were put in place.
However, they still pushed hard for completion in September 2019 ready for the new academic year, managing to sign off the upper floors of the building in time for the student intake.
The Process of Construction
Throughout the whole process of construction, investors were kept informed of the ongoing changes to the property via regular construction updates sent by our Client Relations team. Doing so allowed for open barriers of communication between the investor(s), the developer and ourselves. This meant that whenever there was news surrounding the development, the investor was the first to know. So far, the property is appreciating in value as more developments get underway with construction meaning investors are already enjoying capital appreciation. Plus, the investors are also getting rental income from their tenants.
Feedback from Investors about One Islington Plaza
Feedback from investors after completion has highlighted how great the facilities at the property are, they have had no concerns about being able to let out their unit(s). In particular, investors have mentioned that the communal areas in the building are ideal for students to socialise.
A Development in a Restored City

Not only this but the area is a prime student location with only being a few minutes’ walk from some of Liverpool’s top universities. The popularity of this development was down to the affordable prices, high rental yields and the location.
