During the last weeks at Bridgewater Wharf, the structural concrete frame has been completed across all blocks.

Many activities are scheduled such as internal fit out works and external envelope works to Block D. The latest drone footage is available to view today. Click here to view the drone footage.

 

Summary of Works Progressed

  • The structural concrete frame is now complete over all blocks
  • The last tower crane has been dismantled
  • Block C external envelope and roof works are now well underway

 

Works Anticipated

  • The first batch of windows is due to be to allow internal fit out works on level 1 to commence
  • External envelope works to Block D also due to commence
  • Fit out works to commence mid-August

Excellent progress has been made at Bridgewater Wharf in Manchester with construction activities taking place as per the programme.

Works Progressed

  • Block C drainage is underway
  • The slabs and columns are also progressing in Block C in preparation to move up to level 1
  • DACL have erected the second tower crane are currently building the first slipform to core C
  • The attenuation tank is dug out and ready for install
  • Block D slipform is due in next week

Good progress has been made at Bridgewater Wharf over recent weeks and the foundations have now commenced.

A number of works such as enabling works and piling have commenced and the project has continued to make headway despite the recent uncertainty of Covid-19. The tower crane has now been erected, which is a critical step in the commencement of the next phase of construction.

March 2020

Site remediation works now nearing completion at Bridgewater Wharf.

Site remediation and CFA piling works have been the main tasks under progress over the last few months at Bridgewater Wharf in Manchester. Over the next construction period, foundation works will commence across several of the blocks in the development.

Works Progressed

  • Site remediation works now nearing completion.
  • CFA piling works well underway and on target to have Blocks A, E and lower levels of Blocks B, C and D complete by the end of March.
  • On the upper level of the site the pile mat is now being formed to provide continuity for the piling works on Block C when complete at the lower level.

Works Scheduled

  • Works to commence on the foundations of Block A.
  • The retaining wall that splits the higher and lower level of the site forming the basement parking will commence works.
  • Foundations of Block C will commence upon the completion of piling.
  • Lower level foundations to commence in early April.

October 2019

Groundworks have finished at Bridgewater Wharf, completing the first stage of the construction project.

Groundworks at the development entailed a number of different activities which have successfully prepared sub-surfaces for the start of construction work.

 

Summary of Works Progressed

• Groundworks are all 100% complete which involved ground investigations, site clearance, substructure stabilisation, ground stabilisation works and landscaping.

 

Works Scheduled

• Commence the main construction contract.

July 2019

Progress at Bridgewater Wharf has started as the pre-construction phase continues to evolve.

The site has now been successfully 100% demolished which means the groundworks package can soon begin.

 

Summary of Works Progressed

• Demolition 100% completed.

 

Works Scheduled

• Commence groundworks.

April 2019

Demolition can now begin at Bridgewater Wharf in Manchester as part of the pre-construction phase of the development.

Full demolition of the site is required to prepare it for the large amount of groundworks scheduled in the coming months. Any necessary site enabling works will also take place prior to the main construction contract.

• A pre-demolition survey has been carried out.

 

Works Scheduled

• Commence demolition of the site.
• Commence necessary site enabling works.
