ELEMENT – The Quarter is the first eco development in Liverpool, brought to the market by RWinvest and Nexus Residential.  At ELEMENT – The Quarter, work has been progressing nicely and a number of tasks have reached completion, including the upper suspended steel floor structure and dire coating to the steel framework.

Tasks making progress include the ground floor slab an underground drainage. In terms of internal fit out, 1st fix electrical is 80% progressed with good progress being made to plaster finishes on walls and ceilings.

During June at ELEMENT – The Quarter, we saw progression in a number of areas including the retaining walls, upper suspended steel floor structure and weatherboarding, to name just a few.

Other activity on site includes the installation of external windows and doors, scaffolding access, fire coating to the steel framework and work on the Mansafe system.

Another task nearing completion is the steel frame structure, and finishing touches are being made to the upper suspended steel floor structure. Rapid progress is being made on the flat roof coverings including balconies across the entire site.

Tasks such as intumescent primer, roof decking, retaining wall, reinforcement and soil vent pipe installation are underway and making quick progress. Orders have been placed for windows which are currently being manufactured, and masonry support will arrive on site early October.

In this first construction update for ELEMENT – The Quarter, a clean-up was completed on site to ensure that it was ready for permanent works to commence.

The site is now ready and contractors have commenced the intumescent paint and primer, and there are a number of tasks scheduled in for the coming weeks. These include metal floor decking, steel frame alterations and the steel frame structure and boarding.
