ELEMENT – The Quarter Construction Updates

Lift installation has now commenced at ELEMENT – The Quarter, with other internal works racing ahead.

1^st and 2^nd fix electrical, plumbing and heating works are all making great progress. Carpet and floor finishes are making excellent headway, as well as plaster finishes to walls and ceiling, doorframes, skirting and architrave.

Summary of Works Progressed 

• Retaining walls and concrete beam foundations are now 85% complete
• Underground drainage is 99% progressed
• Scaffolding and mast climber access has achieved 99% progression so far
• Development to the flat roof covering including balconies is 89% complete
• Weatherboarding is 87% complete
• External windows, doors and curtain walling are 80% progressed
• External wall insulation and render is 75% progressed
• The Mansafe system is 60% complete
• The lift has been installed to 40%
• Partition wall installation is 69% complete
• Apartment ceiling installation is 50% complete
• Plaster finishes to walls and ceilings are now 55% progressed
• 1^st fix electrical is 86% progressed with plumbing and heating at 82% complete
• 2^nd fix electrical is 19% complete, with plumbing and heating 10% progressed
• Kitchen units and appliances have been 36% installed so far
• Doorframes are 40% progressed
• Skirting and architrave are now 38% complete
• Bathroom sanitary fittings are 45% complete
• Wall and floor tiling are 24% progressed
• Carpet and floor finishes have made great progress
• Doors and ironmongery are 32% progressed thus far
• Decorations have been making progress and are 30% complete

At ELEMENT – The Quarter, work has been progressing nicely and a number of tasks have reached completion, including the upper suspended steel floor structure and dire coating to the steel framework.

Tasks making progress include the ground floor slab an underground drainage. In terms of internal fit out, 1^st fix electrical is 80% progressed with good progress being made to plaster finishes on walls and ceilings.

During June at ELEMENT – The Quarter, we saw progression in a number of areas including the retaining walls, upper suspended steel floor structure and weatherboarding, to name just a few.

Other activity on site includes the installation of external windows and doors, scaffolding access, fire coating to the steel framework and work on the Mansafe system.

This month at ELEMENT – The Quarter, the internal stair structure and sub-structure masonry walls have been completed. Also, finalisations are being made to the underground drainage.

Another task nearing completion is the steel frame structure, and finishing touches are being made to the upper suspended steel floor structure. Rapid progress is being made on the flat roof coverings including balconies across the entire site.

At ELEMENT – The Quarter, the internal staircase structure and sub-structure masonry walls have now been completed. A number of other tasks have progressed during this time. 

Activities such as constructing the flat roof structure, underground drainage, retaining walls and concrete beam foundations are all greatly underway and making quick progress.

At ELEMENT – The Quarter the metal floor decking to the steel frame is 80% complete as well as steel frame alterations. A number of other tasks have progressed during this time. 

Tasks such as intumescent primer, roof decking, retaining wall, reinforcement and soil vent pipe installation are underway and making quick progress. Orders have been placed for windows which are currently being manufactured, and masonry support will arrive on site early October.

In this first construction update for ELEMENT – The Quarter, a clean-up was completed on site to ensure that it was ready for permanent works to commence.

The site is now ready and contractors have commenced the intumescent paint and primer, and there are a number of tasks scheduled in for the coming weeks. These include metal floor decking, steel frame alterations and the steel frame structure and boarding.
