Site wide, the concrete frame structure is now complete, whilst underground drainage, structural framework construction and weatherboarding are approaching completion. Brickwork, windows and curtain walling are all making excellent progress.
In Block A, the above ground drainage is almost completed and 1st fix plumbing and heating works have begun. In Block B, partition walls are 35% installed and 1st fix electrical works are now 20% complete. Apartment ceilings are being installed to Block B and progress is ongoing.

At Merchant’s Wharf, the sub-structure masonry walls have been completed. Concrete pour to the upper suspended floor structure is also fast approaching completion.
Notable progress in the period also includes the structural framework forming external walls which is now 58% complete, and the pre-cast concrete staircase structure which is now 75% progressed.

This month at Merchant’s Wharf, there has been clear development of the concrete frame structure which is now at 42% completion.
Tasks also progressing nicely include the upper suspended concrete floor structure and the concrete pour upper suspended floor structure, both reaching 41% progression during the latest construction period.

During February at Merchant’s Wharf, major progress has taken place in the shape of retaining walls and concrete beam foundations.
Floor slab and steel reinforcement concrete slab are making headway whilst the concrete frame structure has also commenced.

At Merchant’s Wharf, piling activity has been the focus for construction over the recent weeks.
Piling foundations are now complete and groundworks have commenced, consisting of excavation of the pile caps, cropping down piles to formation and pouring concrete to the main and core walls.

- Site compound and temporary supplies complete
- Demolition and site clearance 100% complete
- Ground infill and site levelling complete
- Retaining walls and concrete beam foundations are 20% progressed so far
- Piling foundations are complete
- The piling mat working platform is complete
- Block B and A groundworks commenced with excavation of the pile caps and associated ground beams, cropping down the piles to formation, testing the piles, installation of reinforcement and pouring of concrete to main and core walls are all underway.

At Merchant’s Wharf, additional site investigation works have been required to ascertain any further underground obstructions which are now being removed. The piling mat installation is currently underway.
Other works include earthworks to prepare for installation of the piling mat to the full site. Excavated materials have also been crushed and recycled to use within the piling mat.
Summary of Works Progressed
- Additional site investigation works have been required to ascertain any obstructions underground prior to the CFA piling commencing
- The semi-permanent site accommodation has now been installed and will be position until project completion
- Further obstructions underwent removal works prior to CFA piling commencing
- Crushing and recycling excavated materials for use within the piling mat to carry the weight of the piling rig
- Earthworks to prepare for the installation of the piling mat to the full site
- Piling mat installation works commenced and currently ongoing

In the first construction update for Merchant’s Wharf, we can confirm that site set up is ongoing, with stage 2 site investigation works complete and site demolition commenced.
The internal soft strip demolition has already been completed, with the main demolition commenced and due to take around 6 weeks the complete. This includes the removal of the roof.
Summary of Works Progressed
- Site set up is ongoing, including welfare and site perimeter fencing
- Stage 2 site investigation works are complete
- Proof digging and trial trenches completed
- Site demolition has commenced including internal soft strip and main demolition
- Internal soft strip completed
- Removal of the roof commenced
- Surveyor has been appointed for the party wall and discussions are ongoing between all parties
