Current Progress

  • Pipework alterations and re-instatement  
  • Refit of cladding rails to west elevation 
  • Installation of fire alarm system 

Much has happened since the first construction update for The Summit, with many tasks commenced and progressing well throughout both the interior and exterior.  

The west elevation is receiving a refit of cladding rails whilst a fire alarm system is being fitted throughout the development. Electricians have commenced testing, pipework is receiving alterations and bathroom tiles are being stripped ready for a new, superior replacement.  

Summary of Works Progressed 

  • Re-fitting of cladding rails to west elevation underway  
  • Fitting of E.P.D.M (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) to windows on west elevation 
  • Insulation panels and cladding being fitted to west elevation  
  • Electricians currently testing previously installed wiring  
  • Installation of fire alarm system 
  • Re-instatement of pipework to communal corridors areas 
  • Alterations to pipework to bathrooms 
  • Installation of door casings to bathrooms 
  • Installation of integrated plumbing system units to bathrooms 
  • Installation of the hoist 
  • Stripping existing tiles from bathrooms 
  • Site clearance continues 

It’s a packed first construction update from RWinvest for The Summit in Liverpool with the new steel site boundary now erected around the site.

Many activities have taken place including site remediation, the removal of debris and materials, new bathrooms and kitchens ordered and building control checks to name just a few. Windows and cladding will be an integral part of the next stage of the build.

  • Clear-out of basement area
  • Removal of sub-standard materials left on site
  • Detailed and extensive surveys of the site taken by structural engineers, architects and contractors
  • Process of clarification of materials required for next stage of the build which will entail windows and cladding
  • Assessed all the bathrooms and kitchens
  • New bathrooms ordered to meet Legacie standards
  • Building control checks completed
