January & February Construction Progress

Q1 2025

Strong progress continues at Embankment Exchange, as final works advance across both blocks and the project moves closer to completion. Apartments are now in the de-snagging and functionality testing phase, ensuring all aspects meet the highest standards before handover.

The basement and car park are also nearing completion, with line marking, cleaning, and signage installations progressing. On the ground floor, internal fit-out works for the gym, spa, and reception area are making steady headway, while external landscaping and riverwalk enhancements continue to shape the final vision of the development.

October, November & December Construction Progress

Q4 2024

Internal fit-out works progressed significantly, with kitchens, joinery, flooring, and final decorations nearing completion across both blocks. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing final fixes advanced well, with most areas now completed.

The external façade also reached several milestones, with brick slips and panel installations completed from levels 2 to 34. Mast climbers were removed, enabling the commencement of low-level works via scaffolding and scissor lifts. The podium waterproofing membrane was installed, with roof finishes set to follow.

Power is now live across both blocks, and water connections are in place, awaiting final meter delivery. At the ground floor concierge and entrance, structural works and curtain walling installation progressed, alongside internal drylining and screeding.

July, August, & September Construction Progress

Q3 2024

The site team prioritised the internal fit-out during this period, with kitchen installations, tiling and decorations progressing significantly. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing second fixes also advanced into their final stages across both blocks.

Huge progress was also achieved on the external façade, with brick slips, aluminium panels, insulation, brackets, and fire barriers completed on the upper levels. Following the removal of the mast climbers, groundworks for the riverwalk commenced, along with live testing on the lower levels, marking an important project milestone.

Several key works such as glazing, roofing and framing advanced into their final stages during this period. Partition walls, kitchens and joinery also progressed, which are key elements of the internal works package. Further advancements will be made in the next quarter as the project remains on track for completion later this year.

    Final works for the installation of sheathing board, window framing and glazing progressed during this period. The onsite team have now commenced the installation of brick slips, providing a great view of the finish to be expected of the development’s façade.

    Internally, major progress was made with internal framing and boarding, as well as other key works such as kitchens, bathrooms and flooring.

        July, August & September Construction Progress

        Q3 2023

        In the period July-September, huge progress was made at Embankment Exchange on several fronts including the steel framing system, which was completed in all but the hoist apartments.

        Other key works that reached completion in Quarter Three included stair installation in the Irwell building and underground drainage in both buildings. Mechanical and electrical 1st fixes progressed well across the site, while curtain walling to the north elevation of the Irwell building moved nearer to completion.

        April, May & June Construction Progress

        Q2 2023

        Between April and June, works continued to advance as planned with further progress made to the erection of concrete frames in both towers. Installation of the staircase and stair structure in the Greengate Tower was completed, while great progress was made to the Irwell Tower’s steel frame structure.

        Wind liner and weatherboarding were among the key works to have commenced during this period, further advancing the external works package. Mast climbers were also installed to the internal and gable elevations, and windows for the lower floors were delivered to the sit for installation in Quarter Three.

        Early 2023 brought with it huge progress to the external structures of both towers at Embankment Exchange. Significant advances were made with the concrete frames, while the team also focused on the execution of the façade design with consultants and subcontractors.

        Walls and columns were also poured during this period, along with vertical elements up to level 35 on the Irwell Tower and Level 13 on the Greengate Tower.
