Charities We Work With
Here at RW Invest, our community matters to us. We love giving back to charities in the UK and worldwide, and we do this by working alongside several fantastic groups that hold a special place in our hearts.
Fitness and Education for Disadvantaged Adults and Children
We proudly work with the wonderful team at The Inclusive Hub, an organization helping disadvantaged children around Kirkdale in Liverpool.
The Hub was founded in 2016 to support Autistic children with the use of sports and fitness programmes.
Since then, the community interest group has gone from strength to strength and has expanded its services, helping those with wider medical issues across the city.
The Inclusive Hub sports a number of highly skilled workers, with training in mental health, first aid, defibrillators, and dealing with Autism and Behaviour issues.
Sessions are available at the Kirkdale Community Centre, and the group also offers lessons directly in schools and colleges.
We are incredibly passionate about the Hub, with one of our former team members, Liam Starkey, joining the group back in 2016.
We also have a sponsored run/cycle planned for January 2021, in which the entire RWinvest team will collectively complete 600km over a 10-day period!
We’re looking to raise £5,000 for the hub and any donations would be much appreciated.
We’re happy to give back to such an admirable group and look forward to working with them further in the future.
Planting 45,000 Trees in the Amazon Rainforest
Our new Liverpool development, ELEMENT – The Quarter, is the city’s first fully eco-friendly property development.
As an extra incentive to invest in this fantastic buy to let opportunity, we’ve started working with One Tree Planted, a non-profit environmental charity that helps to plant trees in forests around the world.
For every apartment purchased in ELEMENT – The Quarter, 100 trees will be planted in the Amazon rainforest.
Our overall goal is to plant 45,000 trees in the Amazon.
This scheme will hopefully have a huge impact on the environment and help to support and rebuild one of the most important ecosystems in the world.
Feeding Our Local Community
Working alongside the Liverpool chef and founder of Liverpool Independent Delivered Services, Dave Critchley, RWInvest donated the cost of 1000 packed lunches to help feed struggling Merseyside families over the half-term break.
Here in Liverpool, some families have really struggled during the lockdown.
In fact, the number of children going hungry in Liverpool since the start of the pandemic has increased, with an 11% rise in children being fed through food banks.
This issue was put in the public spotlight recently after footballer Marcus Rashford MBE started a campaign to increase the availability of free school meals.
Over the Christmas period, we also helped to feed 100 families across Liverpool.
This was in partnership with Dave Critchley as part of his ‘Mission Christmas’ event, which saw over 500 people receive a three-course Christmas dinner.
Our team is incredibly focused on helping those struggling in our city and hope to continue this support whenever we can.
We hold the firm belief that no child should have to go hungry.
Macmillan Cancer Support
One of our favourite times of the year is taking part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s fun-filled Coffee Morning.
Our team comes together and bakes a variety of cakes with all proceeds donated to our local Macmillan branch here in Liverpool.
Our directors then match the money raised by our colleagues, helping us raise £600 in the past two years.
We were incredibly disappointed to be unable to host another Coffee Morning in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we are looking forward to the next opportunity to get involved with this fantastic cause.
Supporting Youth Sport in Merseyside
We recently started working with The Northern Club, an incredible sports, leisure and social club in Sefton.
The group has been running since 1859, with top-class facilities helping teach a host of sports to beginners, as well as county and national-level players.
From Cricket to Hockey, Squash to Racketball, there is something for everyone at the club.
RWInvest has recently sponsored the Club to help with the development of the junior section.
Over 100 boys and girls attend the weekly cricket coaching sessions during the summer.
We hope our sponsorship will lead to more children having incredible fun at the Northern Club.
Helping Everton in the Community
We’ve partnered with RoyleMac10 to support Everton in the Community, and together we have been able to donate £2,960 to this fantastic organisation.
Everton in the Community is a charity that works hard to improve the lives of vulnerable people in the local community.
First established back in 1988, Everton in the Community operates seven days a week and 365 days a year.
The charity offers over 40 programs covering social issues such as employability, health, education, youth engagement, disability, and more.
The hardworking team of 240+ full-time staff and 160+ volunteers are dedicated to supporting the local community by engaging children and adults with physical activity, steering young people away from crime, and providing routes into education, training and employment.
Thousands of people have already benefited from the amazing work this charity does, and we’re so proud to support Everton in the Community to help even more people in Merseyside.
