We’ve Raised Over £6,000 For The Inclusive Hub!

Here at RWinvest, we’re delighted to say that thanks to our fundraising efforts, we’ve raised over £6,000 for the Inclusive Hub!

Beginning on the 29th of January, our fundraiser lasted for three weeks until the 19th of February. Over a period of ten days, our team collectively ran, cycled, and walked an impressive 600km.

Our directors, sales teams, client care team, marketing team, and administrative team all demonstrated a lot of effort and determination to meet our target, while also getting some much-needed fresh air and exercise during lockdown!

The Inclusive Hub is an organisation that means a lot to us here at RWinvest. Led by Liam Starkey, a former RWinvest employee, the Inclusive Hub works to provide fitness opportunities to people with a range of additional needs.

Since they launched four years ago, the Inclusive Hub has seen huge growth, with 800 participants by 2021. Alongside running a regular club based in Kirkdale, the Inclusive Hub also does outreach work with schools and probation services across Merseyside.

The Hub currently works with disabled children and adults, those with mental illnesses, victims of domestic violence, and more. Throughout 2020 and 2021, the Inclusive Hub has provided an essential outlet for those struggling during the Covid-19 lockdown.

For those facing mental health challenges, the Inclusive Hub offers a sense of community along with encouraging people to exercise which has a proven impact on both physical and mental wellbeing.

Despite being such a crucial organisation that helps so many people, the Inclusive Hub, like many other non-profit organisations, receives zero funding, which means they rely on fundraising and volunteers to survive. That’s why it’s so important to provide financial support to charitable organisations like these when possible.

The money raised in our fundraiser will go towards providing much-needed sports equipment and help keep the organisation running throughout these tough times.

Initially, we had set out to raise £5,000 in our fundraiser, but as donations kept coming in, we realised we would be able to raise a lot more for this amazing charity. We upped our target, and have now raised a total of £6,217!

We want to say a huge thank you to each and every person who has donated money to our fundraiser. Your money will make a huge difference to the lives of those who rely on the Inclusive Hub’s services, ensuring that this support network is kept available to the local community in both 2021 and beyond.

If you would like to find out about our other charity work, head over to our corporate responsibility page where we’ve provided information on some of the organisations we regularly work with such as One Tree Planted, Liverpool Independent Delivered Services, the Northern Club, and Macmillan Cancer Support.

We’re currently partnered with One Tree Planted in a scheme that will see 100 trees planted in the Amazon rainforest for every apartment purchased in our Liverpool development, ELEMENT – The Quarter. Read our blog post all about our tree planting scheme to find out more.
