Horizon – Construction Update Q3 2026
Progress Highlights
- Preparing the Building
The first phase of internal strip-out works has now been completed across several floors.
The former office environment is being carefully taken back towards the building’s shell, with redundant wiring, pipework, ductwork and lighting being removed alongside suspended ceilings, raised access floors, non-load bearing partitions, wall linings and existing floor coverings.
Kitchens, sanitary ware and fitted office furniture are also being removed, with more of the original structure and flooring now exposed, the building is beginning to reflect the scale of the work required to convert its former office use into a new residential destination. - Creating Space for New Infrastructure
On Level 8, the team is currently focused on removing the existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure, known as M&E.
These systems were designed around the building’s previous open plan office use. Their removal is creating the space and routes required for new infrastructure that will support Horizon’s apartments and resident amenities.
This is an important part of adapting the existing building, allowing the new services to be designed around the requirements of its future residential use. - Careful Preparation for the Next Stage
The works are being progressed systematically through the building, with the initial strip-out taking place from the upper levels down.
With the first phase of works progressing, the structural engineer will inspect and review the areas completed so far. This provides an important check before the project moves further into the next phase.
Phase 2 will involve more substantial alterations to the existing building fabric, followed by the installation of new mechanical and electrical services and the beginning of the internal fit out.
