In Q2, the completion of the basement level slab was a key milestone at Central Park, alongside the commencement of the building’s steel frame. The site team is now focusing on the progression of the steel frame erection following a fantastic start. Over the course of October and November, the piling mat was completed and on-site piling commenced. This is a significant milestone in terms of the progression of all other works at Central Park.

In Quarter Three, further progress was made by the team at Central Park as site clearance continued in preparation for on-site piling. This included breaking ground along with the preparation and construction of the piling mat.
In September, the jaw crusher was delivered to enable the installation of the piling mat, before the piling mat was then constructed in preparation for the piling rig.

Q2 2023
Several important progressions were made during this period in terms of procurement and design, which enabled site mobilisation to commence. Stage 4 design was completed in June, as well as a comprehensive CCTV survey.
A dilapidation survey for the site’s neighbouring Network Rail tunnel was also completed in Quarter Two, while drainage diversion works continued to progress significantly.
