The Baltic Triangle: A Hot Spot for Property Investors

One of Liverpool’s trendiest and most popular districts, the Baltic Triangle has been transformed over recent years from its humble origins. With Lonely Planet recently naming it one of Liverpool’s top neighbourhoods, it is filled with restaurants, cultural venues and things to do.

Understandably, this popularity has made it one of Liverpool’s hottest property markets. There are several brand-new builds available for investment in the Baltic Triangle, including some of the most popular investment opportunities in the city.

If you are looking at learning more about the Baltic Triangle and why investing there is so popular at the minute, then this guide will explain several reasons why more and more property investors are choosing to invest in the Baltic Triangle.

The Baltic Triangle is a Top Regeneration Zone

The Baltic Triangle has been the focus of regeneration schemes since January 2012. The past 10 years have turned it from an urban wasteland between the city centre and the waterfront into the trendy hotspot it is today.

Around £128 million has been pumped into the area’s regeneration, with a further boost of £62 million planned in the coming years.

This regeneration has turned the Baltic Triangle into the thriving area it is today. There have been around 500 new jobs created in the area, with a further 800 expected to be generated in the future, proving the strength of the area’s economy.

Over the next few years, 500,000 feet of commercial space will have been generated through regeneration, and the derelict St James train station will be reopened as Liverpool Baltic Station to give a massive boost in transport access to the Triangle.

Alongside this new train station, further plans were revealed in late 2020, which include a new public park, green corridors and enhanced connectivity to secure the Baltic Triangle’s place as one of Liverpool’s busiest areas.

Investors should consider making the most of this regeneration, as the Triangle has some of the most popular and affordable new builds in Liverpool.

Why The Baltic Triangle Is A Desirable Place To Live

There are numerous reasons why the Baltic Triangle is such a popular area of Liverpool, one of the main ones being the vast amount of things to see and do.

From restaurants to bars, arcades to crazy golf, here are some of the most popular attractions in the Baltic Triangle:

    Camp & Furnace

The renovated former warehouse of Camp and Furnace will sweep you up in a whirlwind of good food, drink, music events and emotion to leave you recovering the next day full of happiness, love, memories and probably a nasty hangover.

Camp and Furnace is arguably the most well-known and popular location in the Baltic Triangle, with the twinkling bare bulbs, open log fires and Scandinavian spirit blending together into one of the most unique venues in the city.

Camp and Furnace is one of Liverpool’s best live music venues, club nights, event space and food spots all in one, so it’s easy to see why it ranked second on The Times 20 Coolest Restaurants in Britain.

    Baltic Market

Giving you the luxury of a food festival on your doorstep every weekend, the Baltic Market is Liverpool’s street food market. Bringing together independent pop-up businesses to cover palettes from around the world, there is sure to be something here to sate even the fussiest of eaters.

Regularly changing out vendors, there is always something new to taste when visiting the Market. From buckets of fried chicken and wood-fired pizzas to more exotic tastes like Vietnamese-inspired dishes and authentic Greek street food, the flavours here are some of the most varied in Merseyside.

Thanks to the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, this brings you all the joys of a food festival right on your doorstep.

    Manifest

If you are looking for something a little higher class, then Manifest is the place for you. One of the most popular and respected restaurants in Liverpool, this wine bar and restaurant is inspired by Liverpool’s historic shipping trade.

Recently nominated for two awards at the prestigious British Restaurant Awards including ‘best culinary experience’, Manifest sources high-quality seasonal goods and supports local suppliers to provide guests with one of the best meals in the city.

Thanks to a regularly changing menu and having everything made in-house, Manifest is one of the finest eateries in Liverpool, located in the heart of the Baltic Triangle.

    Ghetto Golf

For a more unique night out with friends or colleagues, Ghetto Golf puts a new spin on the classic crazy golf format. One of Liverpool’s most popular attractions, the venue has become synonymous with amazing set design and street art.

A ‘twisted’ 18-hole course is the main attraction of Ghetto Golf, but thanks to a slew of live DJs, delicious street food and exotic cocktails at the open bar there is much more to do here than just putting.

With ever-changing designs thanks to the over 700 street artists whose work adorns the walls of the converted brewery, Ghetto Golf is one of the most colourful and exciting ways to enjoy your time in the Baltic Triangle.

    Bongo’s Bingo

Quite simply, there is nothing else out there quite like Bongo’s Bingo.

A bizarre and wild combination of bingo, dance-offs, rave intervals and audience participation, Bongo’s Bingo is a night of social extravagance and escapism which offers guests the chance to win prizes like a pink unicorn, Henry Hoovers or mobility scooters.

With events taking place in over 50 cities around the world, Bongo’s Bingo regularly hosts events in the Baltic Triangle thanks to the warm atmosphere and crowds of partygoers.

    ArCains

Bringing retro arcade games together with modern cocktails and drinks with all the nostalgia and bright lights of gaming arcades, ArCains is one of the newest hotspots in the Baltic Triangle.

With two floors of arcade games, gaming consoles and PCs, ArCains is one of the largest indoor gaming arcades in the UK. Located in the Cains brewery village, it is close to many popular locations in the Baltic Triangle.

With many of the games free to play once you have paid for entry, this venue provides hours of entertainment for the gamer at heart, with drinks and food available throughout your stay here.

There are many other great places to eat, drink and visit outside of these. From Baltic Fleet to the Peaky Blinders Bar, the Baltic Triangle has one of the best nightlife scenes in Liverpool City Centre.
