A building’s location can go a long way in informing the sort of style and design that the architects and developers should aim for. For example, the Baltic Triangle is known for its off-beat and bohemian atmosphere. This culture and the area’s local collective of artists and independent business owners have led to Time Out naming the Baltic Triangle the ‘coolest neighbourhood’ in the UK. It’s the perfect backdrop for a development like Parliament Square, which champions community through its communal courtyard and public realm.
When designing Parliament Square, creating a property that wouldn’t disrupt the area’s distinct character was important. For this reason, Falconer Chester Hall’s architects worked closely with community groups to create this innovative project, which will constitute the first tower to be built in the Baltic Triangle.
Martin Haymes, Associate Director at Falconer Chester Hall, said: “The proposed development reflects the surrounding context of materials within the Baltic Triangle, continuing the regeneration of this historic area with a quality scheme that enhances the district’s reputation as a thriving creative and leisure hub.”
The scheme consists of four blocks of differing heights, between eight and eighteen storeys, linked by a shared courtyard.
The stunning architecture helped Parliament Square win the Residential High Rise Development Merseyside award at the International Property Awards 2021 and the Best Large New Home Development 2022 award at the YM Property Awards 2022.
