Parliament Square - Block D Construction Updates

Final internal works including bathrooms, sanitary ware, curtain walling and apartment joinery were among those to be completed during this period. With testing and commissioning now underway, completion of Block D is anticipated soon. 

At the beginning of Quarter Four, all external works were either underway or approaching completion.

During this period, roof installation was completed with brickwork progressing toward the final stages. Balcony cladding installation was one of the final external works to be commenced.

In October and November, the on-site team continued to make excellent progress regarding the internal fit-out, with kitchen units, bathroom fittings and floor finishes some of the key works passing the halfway-to-completion mark.

The excellent progress made throughout the first six months of 2023 continued into the third quarter of the year.

Both external and internal work packages progressed rapidly between July and September, with several key works advancing toward completion. Brickwork was commenced during this period and began to display how the finished façade would match the other completed blocks.

The installation of partition walls and tiling works continued to progress steadily, while second fixes also commenced. Externally, the team began adding the finishing touches to the structural framework and weatherboarding.

In the Second Quarter of 2023, fantastic progress was made at Parliament Square Block D as several key works moved closer to completion.

During this period, the progression of external works remained a major focus for the on-site team and brought the installation of external windows, doors and curtain walling.

The majority of works passed the halfway mark by the end of June, with weatherboarding and external windows among those closest to completion. As this quarter drew to a close, electrical, plumbing and heating 1st fixes were also at an advanced stage.

In early January, the building’s overall concrete frame was completed including the concrete deck floor on all levels.

February brought the near completion of several key structural elements including the sub-structure masonry walls and the structural framework forming the external walls. During this period the team also commenced the installation of weatherboarding and the steel framing structure.

Great progress was made on-site during March, with the completion of the internal staircase structure and the commencement of the internal works package among the key milestones reached. Above-ground drainage, installation of partition walls and 1st fix electrical works also commenced.
